Sorry about the absence from tumble guys, I’m going to try and stay on this thing from here on out.
That being said, we’ve got a great project in the works that is beyond us in scope and magnitude.
While watching some other acts at The Utica Music And Arts Fest last September, we happened across the incredibly talented Tarra Layne from Pittsburgh, PA.
After talking to her over the next few months we decided to make it our mission to record something, anything, with her in the near future.
After the inevitable logistic nightmares and song selections, we managed to get Ms. Layne to join us for a weekend to run a two song demo and sit in on a live show with us in Anderson, SC. Did I mention we hired some great videographer friends of ours to capture the whole experience?
So here we are, 8 months later, sitting on what could very possibly be our coolest project to date.
So check back with us on Facebook.com/tjlazerrocks for the details. Everything from the recordings to video to great live stills will be available soon! Check out Tarra at www.tarralaynemusic.com
So, we’ve been busy churning out some new tunes for album #2, with plans to be in the studio early part of 2013.
Now taking album name suggestions and ideas for artwork.
If you see something dope, let us know.
Perhaps Connor McLeod put it best in Highlander.
“There can be only one”
No shit bro, that’s why we’ve gotta win tonight.
Tonight at Wild Wing in Greenville, SC we play in the 2nd of 3 rounds of the Last Band Standing Competition. Let’s say the opponent is ….. interesting.
Never before have I ever doubted our band’s talent, originality, and energy.
I do not doubt us now
That being said, this competition, (like all battle of the bands) is a popularity contest first and foremost. So we need everybody we know to come out and show their support.
Besides, it’s not entitlement if you KNOW you’re better, right?
Holy shit, last night was a blast. Played our first gig in Asheville, NC at a club on Lexington Ave called The Emerald Lounge.
Great venue. Acoustically pleasing and great audio/lighting.
Played with a few other bands of note, Marietta’s Palm, Lionz of Zion, and Dirty south Tight Grip.
That’s a hell of a name.
Nevertheless, we did what we came to do, win on the road, in unfamiliar territory, burning down a 45 minute set in hopes of making Asheville a regular gig.
We also got a sweet board cd from our set.
I can’t hear myself though. I don’t hate it, I know I was wrecking it.
Also, Mike slapped a dude in the front row on accident. Hilarious.
Next week we go back to Asheville for a bike rally at a motorcycle dealership. Follow @tjlazerrocks on twitter and like us on facebook to get all the info.
